Loram RG400 Series Rail Grinders

Loram RG400 Series Production Rail Grinder is proven worldwide in heavy haul, freight and larger commuter railroad applications. The RG400 delivers industry-leading productivity through increased available horsepower, advanced grind control systems, more grind stones and leading-edge quality assurance technologies. Single-pass precision control and grinding power combine to deliver unmatched productivity for efficient, high-speed preventative rail grinding programs or for intensive defect correction and profile restoration in corrective rail grinding programs.

With the capability to grind up to 20 mph, the RG400 Series is the best choice for maximizing available track windows while lowering unit cost. This modular-designed rail grinder series is engineered for scalability, enabling the railroad to specify up to 120 stones for optimized grind program efficiency and productivity. Features such as horsepower compensation, Rail Pro® rail grinding management software tools, and state-of-the-art rail measurement and vision systems ensure the right amount of metal is removed in the right place to maximize the life of the rail.
